My iCloud sync is not showing up
Please check these in order.
- In Settings > Apple Account > iCloud, make sure you are signed in and have storage space left.
- Check that Dear Later is turned on in iCloud.
- Make sure both devices use the same Apple Account and are online.
- Keep the app open for a few minutes. Many photos take longer.
In the app, Settings > Data shows the last sync time and any error. While sync is stuck, your postcards stay safe on the device, and the app never deletes postcards from your device when iCloud runs out of space.
What happens to my postcards if I delete and reinstall the app?
If iCloud was on, your postcards come back on any device signed in to the same Apple Account. It can take a little while. If you were not using iCloud, import the ZIP backup you exported, from Settings > Data.
Can I get back a postcard I deleted by mistake?
Deleted postcards stay in Recently deleted for 30 days. Open Settings > Data to bring one back. After 30 days it is removed for good.
How do I export and import a ZIP backup?
In Settings > Data, tap Export to create a ZIP file. It holds your postcard records (postcards.json) and photos. There are also automatic backups: once a week, one is saved to the Dear Later folder in iCloud Drive (in the Files app), and the latest four are kept.
When importing, you can choose Merge or Replace. Merge is the safer choice the first time. If two postcards exist for the same date, nothing is deleted, and the app asks which one to keep.
What does arriving a year later mean? And arriving after 30 days?
A postcard is addressed to "me, a year from now" by default. It arrives on the morning one year after the postcard's date, at the notification time you set. A postcard dated February 29 arrives on February 28 of the next year.
Since nothing can arrive in your first year, a postcard also arrives once after 30 days. You can turn that off in Settings.
If notifications do not arrive, check that Dear Later is allowed to send them in iOS Settings. iOS limits how many notifications an app can schedule, so the app schedules the next 30 days and tops them up each time you open it. If you do not open the app for a long while, a notification may come late, but arrived postcards always show up when you open the app.
I want to change the app's language
You choose from 한국어, 日本語, and English the first time you open the app, and you can change it later in the app's Settings. Only the app's language changes, not your device's.
I want a refund
Apple processes the payment, so the developer cannot refund you directly. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the app, choose Report a Problem, and request a refund.

Including your device model, iOS version, and app version helps us look into it faster. You do not need to send your postcard text or photos.
